
(RESTON, VA) – On July 16, Davidson's AI/ML Tech Lead, Jack Francis, Ph.D., and Senior Director, Software Solutions, Walter Hough, represented Team Davidson at the inaugural Global Information Dominance Experiments (GIDE) Industry Insights Forum in Reston, VA.
Hosted by the Department of Defense’s Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO), in partnership with the Office of Under Secretary of Defense Research and Engineering (OUSD R&E) and the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU), the event focused on fostering collaboration between private industry and the DoD to address AI needs and enhance digital capabilities.

The GIDE Industry Insights Forum featured plenary sessions and networking opportunities, promoting engagement between government and industry leaders to solve the Department's digital challenges. Highlights included key lessons from the Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) development, presentations from the Joint Fires Network (JFN), and the introduction of the Open Data and Applications Government-owned Interoperable Repositories (Open DAGIR) program.

In 2023, GIDE transitioned to OSD/CDAO with GIDE 5, expanding collaboration across combatant commands and international partners.
