Guests attending the ribbon cutting ceremony included esteemed speakers like Sameer Singhal, Chair of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber, and Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle. Davidson CEO, MG John W. Holly (USA, Ret.), and President, Dale Moore, also shared inspiring words about this new chapter for Davidson.
“Thank you for being one of those premier, go-to companies. Being a multi-dimensional center of excellence here is very important and it brings other people to our community,” said Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle. “It brings other companies to our community...as a growth multiplier.”
The 46,000 square foot facility includes nearly 6,000 ft. of classified workspace – a significant upgrade John Holly noted in his remarks.
"That's a big deal," said Holly. "We can now support our customers in unparalleled ways. Thankfully, our employees do that in a magnificent manner. We have to deliver – we must deliver for our nation's security every single day. The Department of Defense is our customer and our Nation's security is critical to our future as a country."
Holly went on to acknowledge the project's general contractor, Brasfield & Gorrie; COPT Defense Properties; Fuqua & Partners Architects; and TurnerBoone, furniture providers for the facility.
“We’re grateful for another opportunity to collaborate with COPT Defense Properties, who we’ve worked with in Huntsville for more than a decade, and for our first project with Davidson Technologies,” said Brasfield & Gorrie Vice President and Division Manager Sara Beth Wilcox. “Davidson is an important contributor to the cybersecurity, AI and software development in Huntsville and beyond. They’re focused on better ways to do things, and we were able to use innovative construction methods, including tilt-up construction, to complete their headquarters.”
